In The Rough (Lisa Brigantino, Lori Brigantino and Susan Haefner) has been singing their unique brand and blend of three-part harmony (accompanying themselves with a number of different instruments including guitars, ukulele, accordion, percussion and more) since their days as students together at the State University of New York College at Fredonia. The self-contained trio has performed at a variety of notable venues including music clubs & theaters (The Cutting Room, Rockwood Music Hall, The Bitter End, Arlene’s Grocery, Speakeasy, Eight Mile and others in NYC), as well as coffeehouses and house concerts in the Tri-State area, Western New York and New England. The trio has also appeared on all three of Lisa Brigantino’s commercially released albums A Brooklyn Night, Wonder Wheel and I’ll Waltz Before I Go.
In addition to Lisa’s original tunes, In The Rough performs their own special take on cover songs that run the gamut of genres and musical styles from folk and a cappella to country, old-time, pop/rock, novelty and more. There is something for everyone at an In The Rough performance and fans range in age from 8 to 80.
