“I teach my students according to their own interests, level and age. There are certain basic musical concepts and skills that every vocalist, instrumentalist, songwriter or composer should have.  However, among these basic concepts and skills, I stress different elements according to each particular student’s needs. In this way, each individual student comes to know the basics through exploring their own interests, and at their own rate. Concepts are then reinforced through singing, playing or writing.  Most importantly, this approach retains the fun and joy of learning music.” – Lisa Brigantino

Lisa received a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in music theory and Master of Music degree in music theory and composition from SUNY Fredonia, studying composition under Dr. Donald Bohlen, voice with Christine McMasters and upright bass with Dr. Harry Jacobson.
