Lisa and Lori Brigantino grew up 60 miles north of New York City in Katonah, NY where they started making music together as children. The sisters are known for their tight sibling harmonies and musicianship – often juggling a number of different instruments including guitar, banjo, accordion, ukulele, percussion and more.
Lisa and Lori regularly perform Lisa’s original songs which span many genres, as well as select covers, at a variety of venues including clubs, theaters, coffeehouses, house concerts and more. Most recently, they’ve done a number of performances with Terre Roche (founding member of The Roches) including her latest album release show at City Winery, Richard Barone’s Village Nights Series and a tribute to The Bottom Line music club at The Schimmel Center at Pace University – all in New York City. The sisters have also been selected to appear at notable conferences and music festivals including The New Jersey Folk Festival (Singer/Songwriter Showcase Winner), The Ladybug Music Festival, Folk Alliance, The Florida Music Festival, Maplewoodstock, The Rockland-Bergen Music Festival, Cape May Singer/Songwriter, The Pleasantville Music Festival, The Black Potatoe Festival, The Wellfleet Porchfest.
Lisa Brigantino is an award-winning singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and composer. The Daily Country says of her latest album I’ll Waltz Before I Go, “Throughout the thirteen tracks, Lisa seamlessly blends genres from Folk to Americana, Country, Rock, and Old-Time, even incorporating some Gypsy-Jazz for good measure.” Additionally, Lisa composes for film, television, theater and more and provides music supervision, licensing and rights clearance services via her company Hidden Pond Productions, Inc.
Lisa is also a former original member of Lez Zeppelin, the world’s first all girl, all Led Zeppelin tribute band and toured internationally playing A-list venues and festivals with the band for a number of years playing bass, bass pedals, keys, mandolin and doing backup vocals. Lisa left the band in 2009 to focus on her own original music.
Lori Brigantino is a singer and multi-instrumentalist. She can be heard singing harmonies and playing various instruments on I’ll Waltz Before I Go and her vocals can be heard on Wonder Wheel as well as Lisa’s first album, A Brooklyn Night. In addition, Lori is a trained actor with Off-Broadway, Off-Off Broadway, TV & award winning film credits. She and Lisa also have an original wacky musical-comedy act called The Vickie & Nickie Show that they have performed in many NYC clubs as well as regionally.
